The Virtual Switchboard automatically transfers your calls from your advertised 0870 / 0871 number to the right individual or department without the need to employ a telephonist.  

Callers to your company receive a welcome or promotional message followed by a menu for up to nine options, i.e.  Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for Customer Services, etc. and calls are automatically redirected to the other numbers in your organisation which operate like extensions.  

If that line is busy the caller has a choice to queue or leave a message (so you never need to miss a call).  And outside of office hours callers can hear your recorded message and leave a voicemail message.  Please also remember that you also receive an income from all incoming calls.
