Will my normal landline number still work?
Yes. The 0870 number is simply mapped over your
existing telephone or fax number. So whether a customer calls you on
your 0870 number or your normal landline number, you will still
receive the call. The big difference, of course, is that you only
earn money from the incoming calls on the 0870 number.
Do you have to
visit my premises?
No. Everything is done remotely without any interruption.
Must I
have a business to use an 0870?
Yes. 0870 numbers are only suitable for business use and not for
domestic use. Whether you are a large business or working from home,
we will be glad to set up your free numbers.
What
are the costs involved?
4FREE standard 0870 numbers are free of charge, with no connection
charges or ongoing rental fees for those businesses wishing to use
one.
Can I
port my 0870 number to my mobile?
No. The whole idea of these caller friendly numbers
is that the caller knows how much they are paying and that it is
just the cost of a normal
national rate
call.
However, if you divert your normal landline number to your
mobile, then your 0870 number will shadow it and also go to your
mobile. Of course, BT normally charge you the difference between
the mobile and landline element of the call.
How do you
allocate your numbers?
All numbers, even standard ones
are issued as consecutive numbers but obviously only if ordered at
the same time. So for instance the main office number could be 0870
740 1234, and the fax line number would be 0870 740 1235. Please
note that fax2email numbers cannot be consecutive with the main
number nor can they have the same middle three digits. All our
fax2email numbers begin 0870 900, and as the 900 series is dedicated
to the fax2email platform we cannot therefore match it with landline
numbers. We can however, in some cases try and match up the last
four digits. However, in really exceptional circumstances they can
be matched to the 900 series, but you would not receive any income
from the 0870 900 to voice number.
How can
I change the number on which my 0870 calls terminate?
It is easy to do so. Just
send an email
to
us
at connections@4freetele.com
and we will do it for
you. It may take up to 24 hours for a change to take place so please
give us advanced notice of when you want to make a change.
Is
there a charge for diverting my number?
We will do the first three diversions for your business free of
charge. If you require more changes we charge an annual fee of
£25.00 + VAT for unlimited diversions.
Can I redirect my own 0870 number?
Yes. If you say move your business around
or want to divert your 0870 number to your home after business
hours, we do provide a 0870 follow me number over which you have
complete control. You are provided with your own Internet Panel to
redirect it or you can even redirect it by phone. Please see our
Follow Me Numbers page for further
details. We also have a
Time TimePlan Option where we can
programme your number to suit your business hours. Please see the
0870/1 page for further details.
How
much can I earn on 0870/0871 numbers?
You will earn 1p a
minute on incoming calls to each 0870 number during business hours
i.e. 8am-6pm Monday to Friday.
This can increase to over 2p/min depending on the volume of incoming
calls.
Is
there a limit on how much I can earn?
No. There is no maximum payment.
How do
I get paid?
You
are paid monthly provided the total oow3ed to you exceeds £25.
